A Few Quick Things You Can Do Today (And Survive)
Ask your friends, family, and trusted business associates to search your business and then don’t. say. a. word. These are valuable phrases people are using to find you. Write them down and build them into your site. Add them as blog titles, URL slugs, and page descriptions. Google can read these on every page of your site.
Don’t ignore the infrastructure of your site. For example, load your images for SEO. When picking images for your site, make a folder for them on your laptop. Once you’ve chosen your images, resize them to 500kb or less. Rename your image files with common search terms. This will give you a better google search rank and your images will load quickly.
Algorithms constantly change. SEO keyword software is expensive (hundreds of dollars a month!). Get used to the idea that there is no “fix it and forget it” solution because it’s changing all the time. But also remember you are well on your way if you just do these simple steps and update them 2 to 4 times a year…that is a great start!
